The story of Breitling, one of the world’s most famous watchmaker brand is everything but boring.

Established in 1884, by a 24 years old Léon Breitling, Breitling took less than 10 years to become a big factory, employing over 60 people. From the production of its first models, Breitling was a pioneer in developing new functions. In 1915, Breitling developed the first wristwatch chronograph, in 1930 the launched the patented Vitesse stopwatch. In 1952, Breitling has developed the navigation computer which was able to handle all flight plan calculations. In 1969, Breitling invented a self-winding chronograph movement. Breitling is also an inventor of SuperQuartz technology, launched in 2001, it is ten times more accurate comparing to standard quartz.

As for the Breitling Superocean Heritage model, originally launched in 1957, it’s a professional diving watch that although intended for military divers, particularly special troops, it was from start accepted by diving professionals and enthusiasts as well.
